Apps, System Settings panes, Shortcuts, windows, a calculator, bangs for the web. It matches like fzf, so actmon finds Activity Monitor, and it learns what you pick.
Raven can take over the app switcher: hold ⌘, step through with ⇥, release to switch. A number jumps straight to an app, Q quits it, K searches its windows. Off until you turn it on.
Sleep, lock, restart. Dark Mode, Night Shift, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth. Empty the trash, eject disks, switch the sound output. Anything destructive asks first.
Type : and a word. Over 1,400 emoji, and the Mac’s key symbols by the names you’d actually type: :cmd, :esc, :lol. Picking one pastes it where you were.
While building Muninn, I grew frustrated with my launcher of choice. Not because it wasn’t an amazing piece of engineering, but because it had become so bloated with AI features that it stopped working well as a simple launcher. 800 MB of RAM just to open a few apps? Really?
I needed something smaller. So, on a train ride to Norway, I started coding Raven. What began as a personal utility is now ready to share.
